A scrumptious sauce, perfect for serving over ice-cream or on waffles or pancakes! And it takes minutes to make!
• 3 tsp of cornstarch
• 3 Tbs of fresh lemon juice
• 3 cups of fresh blackberries
• 1/3 cup of sugar
• 1 Tbs of Brandy
• 1/4 tsp of lemon zest
Mix cornstarch and lemon juice in a small bowl.
Cook the berries with the sugar and the brandy about 3-4 minutes until berries give off juice and start to break down.
Stir in the lemon, cornstarch mixture and stir for 4 minutes or so until thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in zest. That’s it, store in the refrigerator.
