I love this recipe for sauteed mushrooms, they are of course perfect with steak, but they're so good I could just eat them for dinner! Perfectly sauteed shrooms, in a little butter, garlic, shallot, red wine, Worcestershre and thyme! How could they not be spectacular!
Ingredients
  • 2 Tbs of olive oil
  • 1 lb of button or cremini mushrooms, leave whole if small, slice if medium or large
  • 1½ Tbs of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbs of chopped shallot
  • ¼ cup of dry red wine
  • 1 Tbs of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp of fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp of kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp of freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbs of fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil and add the mushrooms, cook undisturbed over high heat until caramelized on the bottom, about 4 minutes, then stir and cook for 5 more minutes. Lower the heat to medium, add the butter and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and shallot, saute 1 minute, add wine, Worcestershire, thyme, salt & pepper. Cook until the liquid evaporates, just a few minutes, then stir in the parsley. All done! Enjoy!
