This is a recipe for a succulent, tender, flavor packed pork tenderloin! Marinate it overnight and then just grill. Of course it's amazing cut into thick slices with mashed potatoes, but it it makes the best sandwiches you've ever had! I've included a jazzed up mayo recipe for them! Enjoy!
Ingredients
  • 2 small or 1 large pork tenderloin, about 2 lbs.
Marinade
  • 2 Tbs of olive oil
  • 2 Tbs of soy sauce
  • 2 Tbs of steak sauce
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 tsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of stone ground mustard
  • 1 tsp of fresh ginger, chopped
  • 2 - 3 fresh thyme sprigs, optional
Jazzed up mayo
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp of stone ground mustard
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Condiments
  • buns or bread
  • onion slices
  • lettuce leaves
  • tomato slices
Instructions
  1. Start by placing the pork tenderloin in a large ziplock bag, then in a medium bowl, stir together the olive oil, soy sauce, steak sauce, garlic, brown sugar, mustard and ginger and pour it in the ziplock. Seal and massage into the meat. Place the bag in deep pan. Refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
  2. Remove the pork from the marinade and pat dry. Prepare your grill for indirect heat, all coals on one side, place the pork on the side without the coals, close the lid and grill for 20 minutes, flip and grill for 20 more minutes, check the temperature, it should be 145°. Let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing, delicious with mashed potatoes!
  3. If making sandwiches, just stir together the mayo ingredients and spread some on both sides of the bun, then add the sliced pork, lettuce, tomato and onion and put the lid on!
