This is a quick and easy recipe for Honey, Garlic Chicken. Easy enough for a weeknight dinner and so delicious! It's all made in one skillet if your skillet is oven proof. The sauce is so yummy with soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic & ginger. You can either use chicken thighs or breasts. You'll love this one!
Ingredients
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tsp of ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1 - 2 Tbs of canola oil
Sauce
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup of honey
  • 2 Tbs of brown sugar
  • 4 - 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp of ginger
  • fresh parsley, optional
  • green onions for garnish
Instructions
  1. Start by making the sauce, just add the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and parsley (if using) to a medium bowl and stir until well combined.
  2. Rinse the chicken thighs and pat with paper towels until very dry. Season with pepper and paprika. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Heat the oil in a heavy (cast iron if you have one) skillet over high heat, add the thighs and sear for 3 - 4 minutes on each side. Push thighs to the side and saute the garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and place the skillet in the oven, bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
  5. If your skillet isn't oven-proof, place all ingredients in a baking pan and proceed.
  6. To serve, sprinkle on the green onions and drizzle on some of the sauce, serve any remaining sauce on the side, delicious with brown rice.
