Cinnamon Blondies with Cream Cheese Frosting

Super luscious, cinnamon blondies, a delicious alternative to chocolate brownies. Warm, spicy, chewy cinnamon bars with a creamy, decadent, cream cheese frosting! Smells heavenly while baking and they are quick and easy! This will be a family favorite!

Ingredients
Blondies
- 1½ cups of flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- ½ tsp of cinnamon
- ¼ tsp of allspice
- ¼ tsp of salt
- 1½ cups of brown sugar
- 1½ sticks of melted butter
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
Frosting:
- 4 Tbs of butter, softened
- 6 oz of cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract
- ½ tsp of cinnamon
- dash of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, line a 9 X 13" baking dish with foil, leaving 4-5 inches of foil overhang on the ends to use as "handles", then spray or butter the foil.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice and salt.
- In another large bowl, stir together the brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla,
- Pour into the flour mixture and stir until well combined.
- Pour or spoon the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly to the edges.
- Bake for 22 - 25 minutes. While the blondies are baking, make the icing, using a mixer, beat the butter and cream cheese, then slowly add in the powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. Beat until creamy. Lift the brownies from the pan and remove the foil. Add the frosting and spread to the edges.
- Cut into squares and then you know what to do! Enjoy!
