I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love chicken wings, but we can’t just chow down on fried wings very often! So try this method for baking them, and just soak the wings in your favorite sauce! I think this is our answer!
Ingredients:
Serves 2 – 3
• 2 lbs of chicken wings
• 1 Tbs of Baking Powder
• 1 tsp of kosher salt
• 1 tsp of garlic powder
Directions:
Pat the wings very dry with paper towels, if you have time, put them on a baking sheet and refrigerate them uncovered for a few hours, or even overnight. Put the wings in a large ziploc bag and add the baking powder, salt and garlic powder, toss and massage to coat.
Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with foil and sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake them in a 275° oven for 20 minutes, adjust the temperature to 425° and bake the wings for 40 – 45 more minute, until they are nicely browned. Place the wings in a large skillet, cast iron if you have one, add your favorite sauce and stir well to coat and cook for just a few minutes. That’s it!I used my white BBQ sauce for these wings, here’s the recipe:
• 1/4 cup of yellow mustard
• 2 Tbs of cider vinegar
• 2 Tbs of brown sugar
• 1/8 tsp of garlic powder
• 1/4 tsp of liquid smoke
• 3 tsp of mustard powder
• 1 tsp of hot sauce
• 1/2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
• 1/4 tsp of kosher salt
• 1/4 tsp of black pepper
• 1 Tbs of butter
Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat until well combined, then add 1 Tbs of butter and stir until melted.
