Here’s a quick, absolutely delicious side that’s made on the stove top, sweet green peas are cooked with prosciutto, shallot, garlic, parsley and beef broth, under 10 minutes of time! You’ll love this one!
Ingredients:
Serves 10
3 Tbs of olive oil
8 oz of prosciutto or bacon, cut into small pieces
4 shallots, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 lbs of frozen peas
1/2 cup of Italian parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp of kosher salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/2 cup of beef broth
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium high heat and saute the prosciutto or bacon for about 3-4 minutes, add the shallots and garlic and saute for 2 more minutes, add in the peas, parsley, salt, pepper and beef broth and cook for about 5-6 minutes.
That’s it! Just drain off most of the liquid, if there’s too much and keep warm until serving. For a little decadence, add some butter at the end. Enjoy!
