I can't even describe how intensely delicious these burgers are! Fresh ground pork is mixed with shallot, garlic, smoked paprika, fresh parsley and Worcestershire, then perfectly grilled and topped with sauteed onions, ripe red tomato slices and a very special sauce! This is truly a gourmet burger that will become one of your favorites!

Ingredients
Burgers
- 1½ lbs of ground pork
- 1 shallot, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed and minced
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 Tbs of Worcerstershire sauce
- 1 tsp of liquid smoke - optional
- 1 tsp of smoked paprika
- 2 Tbs of fresh parsely, chopped
- 1 tsp of salt
- ½ tsp of pepper
Special Sauce
- ½ cup of mayo
- ¼ cup of ketchup
- 2 tsp of sweet relish
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 2 tsp of white vinegar
- 1½ tsp of kosher salt
- 1 tsp of pepper
- ¼ tsp of granulated garlic
Buns and condiments
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 large ripe tomatoe, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, shallot, garlic, egg yolk, Worcestershire, liquid smoke, paprika, parsley and salt & pepper.Mix well, hands work best. Then shape into 4 evenly sized patties. To make the special sauce, just stir all ingredients together in a small bowl.
- To saute the onions, just add them to a medium skillet, drizzle in a little oil and cook until browned and softened, about 10 minutes, stirring often.
- You can either grill your burgers outside or on the stovetop using a grill pan or cast iron skillet. Grill or cook the burgers for 7 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook another 7 minutes or until internal tempertature reaches 160 degreees. Butter your buns and place on the grill or in your skillet for a few minutes, until warm and a little toasty.
- To assemble, slather some sauce on the top and bottom buns, place a burger on the bottoms, then top with the onions and a tomato slice and put the top on. You're in for a real treat!
