Roasted Acorn Squash with Brown Sugar and Pecans

Oh so simple and oh so good! Transform this ornamental looking gourd into a sweet, buttery, savory side dish that's perfect with roasted turkey and cranberry sauce! It just can't get much easier, just cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds, add a few tasty ingredients and bake!

Ingredients
- 2 acorn squash
- 4 tsp of brown sugar
- 4 tsp of butter
- 2 tsp of salt
- 4 Tbs of chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. This is so easy, just cut each squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and all of the stringy stuff, then place them on a baking sheet. In a small bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, salt, and pecans. Divide evenly between the squash halves and bake at 400° F for 1 hour until the squash is fork tender. Serve while warm and enjoy!
