Fall means warm, spicy, apples with a buttery, crumbly topping that smells like heaven while it's baking! This is a very quick and easy recipe for a delicious apple crisp. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, positively luscious!

Ingredients
- ⅓ cup of all purpose flour
- ½ cup of brown sugar
- ⅓ cup of regular oats
- ½ tsp of cinnamon
- ⅓ cup of cold butter, cut into small pieces
- ⅓ cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
- 7 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 heaping Tbs of flour
- ⅓ cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- ¼ tsp of cloves
- 2 Tbs of pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and butter a 1-1/2 qt baking dish. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, brown sugar, oats and cinnamon. Add in the butter and using 2 knives or a pastry blender, combine the mixture until it becomes crumbly, then stir in the nuts.
- Place the apples in the prepared baking dish and add in the flour, sugar, cinnamon, cloves and maple syrup, stir to coat the apples.
- Now, sprinkle on the topping and bake for 45 minutes.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream! Enjoy, I know you will!
